GAINES TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Seven vehicles and a Rapid bus were involved in a crash in Gaines Township Tuesday afternoon, according to the Kent County Sheriff’s Office.

The Rapid bus was on Kalamazoo Avenue just north of M-6 when it rear-ended a vehicle. The momentum caused a chain reaction crash that involved seven vehicles, deputies said. Each vehicle was damaged and one person reported a minor injury. That person was treated at the scene, the sheriff’s office said.

A News 8 crew at the scene saw a Rapid bus and several vehicles involved in the crash, as well as a fire truck and police vehicles.
