Country star Brantley Gilbert paused his Friday night concert in Tupelo, Miss., as his wife, Amber, went into labor with the couple’s baby boy on the tour bus.
The “Bottoms Up” singer shared an emotional video documenting the unexpected turn of events on his Instagram Saturday.
“So last night might have been the craziest night of my life. Watching such an amazing woman do such an amazing thing is something I’ll never forget,” Gilbert wrote in the caption.
“Thank you to our road family for rallying around us, Brittany Thornton for helping us bring this little dude into the world, Tupelo, Mississippi for showing us mad love and support,” he continued.
“And most of all… Amber Gilbert, for letting me love you and showing me EXACTLY how incredibly strong a woman can be. I love you.”
The video began with a shot of Gilbert, 39, performing before he abruptly walked off stage after getting a message from his team about “an emergency backstage.”
The video then cut to Gilbert talking to his mother on the phone and telling her that she has a “new grandbaby” as the camera panned to reveal the newborn.
After being asked by his mom how his wife, Amber, was doing, the country singer replied, “She’s a freaking savage.”
After Gilbert got off the phone, he returned to the stage and told the crowd of concertgoers, “We got a baby,” prompting the room to erupt in cheers.
The musician did not share his baby boy’s name.
The video concluded with black-and-white pictures of both parents holding the newborn in their arms.
Gilbert shared the video on his Instagram Story, writing, “We’ve got a new addition to the Gilbert Family… God is good.”
The new addition marks the couple’s third child together. The pair, who have been married since 2015, are also parents to son Barrett, 6, and daughter Braylen, 5, per Today.com.
