LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer is delivering a speech in Washington D.C. Wednesday morning.
Whitmer’s office said her speech will highlight a bipartisan outline of her vision for an economic strategy to create jobs, build America’s manufacturing, and protect our nation’s defense.
Major talking points include the impact tariffs are having on Michigan, outline her bipartisan approach to bring supply chains home from China, create more ‘good-paying’ jobs, and invest in Michigan’s defense industry according to her office.
After the speech, Whitmer will speak alongside Gretchen Carlson to discuss proposals and strategy behind the bipartisan vision.
