The Princess of Wales, 42, delighted fans on Friday with a sweet note on X congratulating TV presenter Dwayne Fields on becoming UK’s new Chief Scout.

“Delighted to welcome @DwayneFields as the new UK Chief Scout,” the statement read. “The Scouts is such an incredible organisation, teaching #SkillsForLife and making a huge difference to young people across the country.”

“Looking forward to working with you!” her statement continued.

She signed off the post with a simple C for Catherine. Both she and husband, Prince William are known for signing off social media posts with their initials to indicate that the message comes directly from them.

The missive prompted a raft of congratulatory comments.

“Congratulations Dwayne We love to hear from Catherine Perfect healing to you, HRH Princess of Wales,” wrote one, while another added, “Love to read messages from our amazing Princess of Wales.”

“The Scouts are an amazing organisation,” wrote another well-wisher. “Good luck to the new Chief Scout. Also it’s lovely to hear from the Princess of Wales. Sending love.”

The Scouts is a cause to the royal’s heart as she is co-president of the organization, which offers children the chance to enjoy the outdoors while bolstering their confidence and teaching them life skills.

Last year, she took her three children, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, to a scouting event where the children enjoyed archery and roasting marshmallows.

Middleton’s most recent personal message on X was in August when she and Prince William shared a post about the Paralympics.

“Looking forward to another few weeks of incredible sport! Wishing the very best of luck to our @ParalympicsGB athletes and all those competing at #Paris2024. W & C.”

The Princess has been absent from royal duties since undergoing abdominal surgery in January.

In June, she went to the Trooping the Colour parade alongside her family and she received a standing ovation at the Wimbledon tennis championships in July.

Last month, she was snapped attending church services at Crathie Kirk church on the Balmoral Estate in Scotland.

Middleton updated fans on her progress in June, sharing that she has “good days and bad days” as she undergoes chemotherapy.
