CANNON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A motorcyclist is in the hospital after a Friday afternoon crash in Cannon Township.
Around 3:35 p.m., troopers with the Michigan State Police were sent to the area of Belding Road NE and Ramsdell Drive NE for a crash involving a motorcycle.
Responding troopers learned that a 28-year-old Rockford woman was traveling southbound on Ramsdell Drive. She did not see an eastbound motorcycle and pulled in front of it, causing it to hit the side of her vehicle, MSP said.
The motorcyclist, a 60-year-old man, was taken to the hospital for treatment, MSP said. The extent of his injuries has not been released.
The Rockford woman was not hurt.
“This is reminder that now that the weather is warmer, please be aware of motorcycles on the roadway,” MSP said in a release.
The crash remains under investigation.
