GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Next week, anyone filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid can get a bit of help in Grand Rapids.

Michigan Student Aid is offering free FAFSA Fill-In Day events around the state. On June 27, financial aid experts will be at New Hope Baptist Church at 130 Delaware St. SW in Grand Rapids to help anyone planning on attending college, university or community college this fall. Free computer and WiFi access will also be provided.

You don’t need an appointment and walk-ins are encouraged, according to Michigan Student Aid. Attendees must create FSA IDs for both student and parent in advance. It takes three to five days for FSA IDs to activate, Michigan Student Aid said.

The deadline to file FAFSA is June 30.

Similar events are also being held in Detroit and Flint next week.
